Under Implementation of national Rural Employment Guarantee Act the West Bengal State Govt. appoints Gram Rojgar Sevok through B.D.O. (Block Development Officer). The agreement of appointment takes place with the Gram Pradhan.

Duty Of Gram Rojgar Sevok : “The main duty of the GRS is to help the technical person like Nirman sahayak, T.A.,S.A.E. etc to strengthen the MGNREGA works & also other official works related to MGNREGA. State Govt. delegated financial power to the Programming Officers and District Programming Coordinators.”

Academic Qualification

• Candidates must pass Higher secondary examination from any recognized Board or Council of West Bengal.
• He/She should come from Science stream.
• Marks should have to be at least 55 % marks.
