West Bengal D.EL.ED Admission Counseling 2017

Candidates, who called for D.EL.ED counseling will have to submit their required documents/fee at the time of admissions. After completion of the applications, applied applicants will be selected for admissions on the basis of merit list marks allotted for academic merit list.

The Affiliated Colleges of West Bengal State will allot seats to the candidates on the basis of candidates’ rank and availability of seats. Eligibility Criteria forD.EL.ED Admission 2017

- 50% in H.S or its equivalent examination for the general candidates.
- 45% in case of SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH/EX-SERVICEMAN for admission to Two Year D.EL.ED in the institutions recognized by the NCTE. Affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education and mentioned in the List-I of NCTE, annexed to the Public Notice, issued by NCTE on 17.06.2017.

Selection Process for D.EL.ED

Selection of admissions to the D.EL.ED course shall be made through a merit list of candidates prepared on the basis of qualification. Department shall prepare the merit list of candidates is likely to submit to primary education board.

Eligibility and Reservation in detail For Vocational-course-pass applicants:

4% (i.e. two out of fifty) of the seats shall be earmarked for applicants coming from the Vocational Stream Course (+2 Level) from any recognized Board/University/Council or its equivalent, regardless of categories.
applicants who have passed vocational-course must have studied at least two languages including English at the +2-stage.
applicants passed the vocational course with score at least 50% marks at the10 +2-stage.
Such vocational-course-pass applicants, however, shall not be eligible for other seats under any condition of backwardness or physical disability.

Calculation of Merit:

The name of the examination should be Higher Secondary or as mentioned in the Mark-sheet of other recognized Boards or Councils. The total number of marks should be aggregate on best of five.Including First or Second Language or both but excluding EVS (where it is not an elective subject).

For example:

Language 1 – 60

Language 2 – 81

Political Science – 68

Geography – 82

History – 62

EVS – 88 (not an Elective Subject)

The calculation should be made on the basis of best of five marks on the equivalent exam, e.g. {(82+81+74+68+62)/5} = 367/5 = 73.4%

The marks of EVS which is not an Elective Subject has not been taken for calculation of percentage.

Important Dates:

Schedule of Admission and Commencement of Class

The process of online application starts from 6 p.m of 30/06/2017 till 14/07/2017.
The heads of the respective Institutions will submit the verified & authenticated applications (downloaded & printed) to the Board latest by 17-07-2017.
The Board will approve the Merit Lists between 18-07-2017 & 23-07-2017
The process of admission as per approved merit list should be completed between 24/07/2017.
Class of the first session will start on and from 27/07/2017.
The Heads of the respective D.EL.ED Institutions, affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Primary Education and listed for admission under this Notification are requested to contact the Board for their secret User Id & Password between 03-07-2017 and 05-07-2017.

Fees structure:

Application fee: for applying online candidates have to pay rupees 300 (Three Hundred) for general candidates.

And for the candidates belongs to S.C/S.T/PH have to pay rupees 150 (One Hundred Fifty only)

Course fee:

For the government institutes the course fee will be as far the existing fee structure of West Bengal board of primary education.

For un-trained self-financed nongovernment institutions, it shall be around Rs 12000/-(Twelve Thousand).
